Etgarim's Emergency Relief Project
Please support our emergency efforts as we are operating activities in numerous evacuee centers.
We perform activities that are inclusive, for groups of displaced children with disabilities, as well as children from the entire evacuee region, in addition to a specific track for children with disabilities and their parents to enhance communication.
These activities have a profound impact, as we work with each group for several meetings and develop a process with depth rather than one fun time. These activities affect not only the children, but also provide a lifeline to weary family members in desperate need of a precious few hours of respite and solace. In some centers the parents join the activities as well, creating groups of activities for children and adults and in some cases, by demand, groups of just adults.

Our mission
Etgarim, which means challenges in Hebrew,
was founded in 1995 by disabled IDF veterans and
rehabilitation professionals with the mission to
empower, promote and socially integrate people
with disabilities through outdoor sports.
We serve disabled IDF veterans,
victims of terror and trauma, children and adults with disabilities,
including but not limited to those living with:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Muscular dystrophy
- Limb Loss
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Emotional disorders
- Blind or Low Vision
- Hearing loss
- Cognitive, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities
- PTSD
We focus on people’s abilities and not their disabilities.
Etgarim has developed and operates a variety of sports programs adapted to the unique requirements of people with special needs. Our programs are based on advanced methods of modern rehabilitative psychology, which focus on individuals' abilities rather than their disabilities.
Our activities improve motor, cognitive, emotional, and social skills, producing far-reaching effects across all aspects of the lives of those living with disabilities.
